I love my viltrox 27mm. Sold my sigma 30mm as soon as I got it.

Would you recommend for a event?

I own Luminar AI, and missing lens profiles in Luminar (AI and Neo) is a deal breaker for me most of the time. If the ability to use manufacturer lens profiles is added in a future release, I can definitely see myself using Luminar for much more of my editing. And that's probably the only reason I'd upgrade from AI to Neo. Perhaps it's just me and my cr*ppy distorted lenses? And no, even with all of its fancy AI features, Luminar still can't correct distortion as well as the manufacturer lens profiles on my lenses.

If sharpness is all you care about, you can use this instead of a prime. But a prime of this quality is much lighter, way smaller. much much cheaper and will most likely have a more pleasing natural rendering, instead of flat as pancake pictures. High end fast primes will be no contest, they are way better than this.

18-35 would have been a better focal range. With that and something like a Tamron 35-150 in your bag, you have a whole lot covered.

I have an FX30 and with my 18X105 lens the zoom rocker controls the zoom on the lens. I bought the E 16-55mm F2.8 G APS-C G lens and the Rocker does not control the zoom of the lens. Is this normal?

To be honest - nice gaming software - but a waste of time for real photographers. KI works like all the translation stuff or selfdriving cars - almost right but it can kill you as well easily.

Arthur, I chatted with Luminar Tech Support and received this reply regarding the ‘perpetual’ license. If one wants the entire suite, and you buy perpetual, you will pay 149 this year, and then to get the Gen I tools the next year, you will have to sign up for the subscription model - essentially paying one extra time. From my chat: Please be advised that with a Lifetime, you have unlimited access to the application, and it is a one-time purchase. The Generative tools were implemented as a partial gift for our Lifetime users to try it out. There is no technical possibility to include the Generative tools for life. You will have to subscribe to get these after the first year.

These features are why I bought it months ago! If you guys haven't tried it I suggest you do.

Good video, however, stay with the basis. You might have stepped outside your skill set. The program is exceptional and improving. Accent and structure are the next step after the basics.

To be honest, I've watched a dozen or so comparisons of this Sigma and Tamron 28-75 G2 and the Tamron outpeformed the Sigma in sharpness. So I'm really confused.

The object removal would be why I would buy this program. I have a number of shots where some object or person is in the frame of an otherwise perfect shot. Now, I think I could actually properly remove these from those shots. What a gift that is.

I have the same program. Had luminar Ai before. I bought it for 76 euro and its really worth it. But especially with denoise Ai it's world's behind light room. But better than nothing

4:00 I have to say, i think Arthur is praising this feature way to much. It looks completly fake because the program cuts off lots of her hair. It really is just like a 5 year old Phone. Not a selling point at all

I just want to be able to edit basic things like exposure. If I wanted to be able to distort reality and make up a bunch of BS I'd just install Stable Diffusion.

I'm halfway through my year of renting LrC / LR / Ps, I may just take a peek at Neo, to see how easy it is to use for 'normal' editing. Great video, thanks Arthur.

I just sold my A6000.. it hurt me to depart from it. It is still a great camera and the only area that failed me was the auto focus sometimes. I replaced it with a a6500 and a a7C. I consider APS-C as the compact camera that has it all and I can use my compact full frame lenses in it. Therefore, APS-C is a complement of Full Frame and I will never depart from it.

The thumbnail was awful but your edits were really tasteful. I will actually investigate this for my workflow!

I bought and use Luminar and I have to say these sponsored reviews are usually biased since they just advertise some features and don't talk about drawbacks. It is indeed easier to use than PS and Lightroom but it is nowhere near the functionalities and the usability of lightroom. I say this as somebody who doesn't use it (only because of the subscription model). The AI functionality is nice but they usually not that smart and I got mixed results in real life scenarios. Also using the AI features starts to slow down the app significantly(!!!) you constantly have to wait for every change to calculate 5-10 seconds even on a mid tier PC, and just in general the app's performance is not fast. I like the non subscription based model but you don't get lifetime updates with them either because they abandon their old versions in favor of a new one (Neo this time) which is the same app with some extra features and some basic stuff missing which is annoying because you have to switch between 2 apps. In general I like the app as an affordable alternative to Adobe but it is mostly just okay.

30:16 I think the best for photo is a6500. you can still utilize that ibis for steadiness and the weather resistant is also a nice thing for outdoor photography

I have to stop you there! Just recently, NEO has moved advertising and in-app sales integrated with horrible consequences: A sky patch you thought was an included sky,instead hijacks you, away from the image you were just editing and trying to sell you that sky section for money to buy, completely disrupting any work you were doing ! I'm ready to sue them for my money back! Back when I bought Neo, it worked properly. now you can barely use it to edit images, unless you are still on a non-updated program...
